2015 Military Pay & Allowances

Military Base Pay

For 2015, a 1% pay increase will be given to all members of the military. This pay increase goes into effect on January 1, 2015.

Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH)

Each year, adjustments are made to the housing allowance or BAH. If you are already stationed at a permanent duty station, you can only benefit from these increases. Even if the rate for your current post decreases, you will be grandfathered into the old rate. The new rate will only affect newcomers who are assigned to that post after January 1, 2015. If the BAH for your post has increased, you will begin receiving the increase in 2015.

Hello, and this may not be relevant, but I don’t know where to go and who else to ask. I’ve been Married going on a year now and My husband decided to join the Army. I wasn’t thrilled. As his wife I had to support him in his decision. However I’m not sure why the Liaison wont accept our Marriage license provided. We are both from Washington DC. My husband took with him the Certified copy with the raised seal to BCT with him, and they’re still not helping me to understand why they are requesting another one when they have the physical copy. My husband and I share a bank account in which his pay is being directly deposited into. I’ve been told that he isn’t getting spouse pay due to the fact they wont accept our marriage license. I don’t know what to do. I’ve faxed the information that they asked me for. Why in the world would they wait until now to tell us this when signing up there was no problem with our marriage. I don’t know what else to do.

That’s odd. I’d provide whatever they need just to expedite the process. But your husband needs to be going back and asking what’s going on. You can also try to call the DEERS office and just check your status in the system, see if you can handle it that way.
