How long was his AIT? 7 weeks
What was his training like? Normal
schedule? Did he train on weekends? Late at night? Classroom or
field based? Monday-Friday (Class and Field) If it was
something new they learned it in class and then practiced in the
field hands on.
Did you get to see him during AIT? I could
have seen him on the weekends. They got Off post passes most
weekends (if they behaved) from Saturday at 12pm to Sunday
between 4 and 6 pm. But I didn't leave close enough to drive.
How often were you able to communicate
with him? By phone? Email?
I talked to him every night on the phone. Usually around the
same time. His schedule is pretty set and routine.
Describe the graduation ceremony. Didn't
go. Don't think it was too formal. His leave started at 6pm that
day.
