My husband is in Ft. Leonard Wood, for BCT and AIT and he just started about a week and a half ago, but he wrote me and told me he hasn’t received a letter yet but I don’t understand how that is, since I have written him and sent him letters since I got his address, do they hold there mail. Or is there a way i can find out why he isn’t getting it?

While they swear that mail is not held during basic training, I have heard from very few that haven’t had mail delivery issues in the first two weeks of basic training. Rest assured that as long as you are mailing them to the address he gave you, he will get them. I remember feeling horrible when my husband called and was upset that I had not written him yet. But I had been writing daily since he left. He got all of my letters shortly after that.

did he get your mail yet?! My boyfriend is there right now as well and he hasn’t gotten any of my letters…even though I’ve written to him every single day since he left. I really miss him and i feel bad he isn’t getting my mail!!!
Experiencing the same issue. Have written my son every day since he left and he has yet to receive one of my letters 3 1/2 weeks into basic training. I would have thought holding mail would be a federal offense.
