My daughter is married to a army guy and she has lived with me for the last 2 months…..she doesn’t have any money and he wont help her out at all…..he gets extra money due to the fact hes married but he deposits it into his account and she has nothing. she went to the doctor recently and cant even afford the meds she needs?
How can she get him to help her out or even let the Army know he has totally abandoned her??
Thank You for your help!

She needs to contact his command to let them know that he is not providing any type of financial support. Depending on the situation, they will get involved. The chaplain of his unit is another great resource for her.

As far as her medication, if she saw a doctor on post, she should be able to get her medication at the on post pharmacy at no costs. Even if she saw a civilian doctor, the prescription co-pays for Tricare are VERY inexpensive. She needs to talk to a Tricare representative about this and ensure she is enrolled in the correct program.

I hope it all works out for her.

MY HUSBAND ISNT SUPPORTING OR HELPING ME OUT FINANICALLY. WE DON’T HAVE ANY CHILDREN, ITS JUST ME AND HIM. WE SEPARTED A YEAR AGO. I CONTACT HIS COMMANDER AND JAG. JAG TOLD ME TO CONTINUE TO CONTACT HIS COMMANDER SO I DID. HIS COMMANDER TELLS ME, HE CAN’T MAKE HIM GIVE ME ANYTHING HE CAN ONLY ADVISE HIM TOO. THAT WAS IN APRIL AND NOTHING HASN’T HAPPEN YET. WHAT DO I DO. WE ARE STILL MARRIED AND HE STILL HASN’T GIVING ME ANYTHING.
